“The most expensive restaurant I could think of…” He mumbled a reply before excusing himself, reluctantly paying the driver before he drove off. Returning to Fran’s side, he tugged at the black material on his sleeve.
Now, no matter how much of a genius the Prince was, even he couldn’t read the awful typography on the sign outside of the restaurant. However, the exterior was a pleasant sight, exquisite plants lining the walls, the building red bricked.
“The Prince has never known the name of this restaurant. The typography is awful.” He mumbled, “The food’s great, though.“ A grin appeared on his face as he led the way inside, a server seemingly recognising the blonde Varia member as he shouted something about getting the usual tables ready. Bel hadn’t been here in a while, but it was a pleasure to know that the commoners had remembered him. The interior was the same as he remembered- It screamed ‘wallet burning’ vibes. Ah yes, Belphegor could practically feel the money from his wallet fluttering away.
"Come on, Fran.”
“What the.” Fran huffed, surprised at the prince’s inability to read simple French. But of course, the kouhai had no intention of reading it to him. “I guess you’re not that much of a genius after all, senpai."
Ah, so Bel had been here before. It was no surprise, he was a ‘prince’ after all. It stands to reason that royalty would like to eat fancy regardless of the expenses. However, when the frog stepped into the building, he thought that perhaps, 'fancy’ might’ve been an understatement.
Glass chandelier, gowns, cocktails, fussy waiters… this place certainly had a sophisticated feel to it; and Fran, being born in the farthest countryside with absolutely no exposure to aristocracy, gulped at the overwhelming aura the room had. His stomach curled as he tugged his senior back. "Maybe this isn’t such a good idea…”
